"You have to love a nation that celebrates its independence every July 4, not with a parade of guns, tanks, and soldiers who file by the White House in a show of strength and muscle, but with family picnics where kids throw Frisbees, the potato salad gets iffy, and the flies die from happiness. You may think you have overeaten, but it is patriotism."  ~Erma Bombeck

Jessica Sprague is offering a delightful free class, Computer Tricks For Cards and I thought I would share a couple that I made. Thought it would be fun to create cards with a Fourth of July theme.

Crystal Wilkerson designed the template and I used papers from Tangie and Americana Coaster by American Gurls

Perhaps I will share a few more as the class progresses...

Happy July 4th!
...and don't forget to take a moment to remember the brave men and women who are serving our country as we celebrate with our families and friends.

Lovely post, Catherine. I love the last line of the Erma Bombeck piece: "You may think you have overeaten, but it is patriotism." ha!

Hope you had a great weekend, Catherine! Would happily trade you some of our VA heat wave to mitigate the clouds out there. In about 3 weeks I'm heading off to Paris, so I've loaded my blog playlist -- wanna get in the mood with me? :)
