A delightful find...

Isn't it wonderful when you unexpectedly find a little treasure? Well that is exactly what happened to me recently. I stumbled upon the most delicious sewing store but "sewing" is truly a misnomer as this shop is filled chuck full of vintage lovlies as well as the traditional fabrics one might expect. I hope you can pay a visit to Nancy's Sewing Basket. They have one of the largest "ribbon rooms" on the west coast and it is filled with beautiful satin, silk, brocade ribbons. So beautiful.
But wait that isn't all...sweet little baskets of vintage lace are sitting on the shelves randomly placed.Oh let's not forget the wall full of buttons, again many are vintage. I found some amazing pink glass 1920's buttons. Was I ever doing the happy dance.

And look at this sweetness, little stamens to add to beautiful ribbon flowers. Some new and some vintage.
I felt like I had landed in heaven...lol, what a find. I came home with an assortment of beautiful silk and satin ribbon, vintage lace and vintage buttons. How delish!
XOXO
Catherine

Catherine, what a fantastic shop. It looks wonderful, like Tinsel Trading in NYC. Next time I visit my mom I'll have to check out Nancy's.
